Jodie Davenport is a BCBA that has taken her skills all over the globe. She is originally from Florida but loves to travel. She studied American Sign Language and Human Services at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. While living in Boston she spent two years working at Perkins School for the Blind in their DeafBlind department. Next she traveled to Austin, TX to study Special Education at the University of Texas. She received her masters in Special Education with a specialization in autism and developmental disabilities. In 2009 she sat for the BCBA exam and continued her work with DeafBlind children at the Texas School for the Deaf. After working with the Deaf community for 4 years she made the switch to working with individuals with autism. Since beginning her adventures with the autism population she has worked in schools, homes, and behavior bases centers. In 2015 she moved to Belgium to fulfill a sense of wanderlust while working in a Montessori style English speaking school. She moved to North Carolina the beginning of the year and is excited to be back near the Atlantic beaches.
